Andrakeia Shipman

DURHAM—Dr. Andrakeia Shipman, 34, formerly of Whiteville, died Wednesday, May 30, at her home in Durham.

She was the daughter of Linda Shipman Daniels of Whiteville and the late William Dewey “Bill” Shipman, Jr.  She was a pharmacist at Duke Medical Center and a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

The funeral will be 11:00 AM Saturday, June 9, at the Brunswick-Waccamaw Baptist Headquarters, 600 Pinelog Road, Whiteville, by Pastor Carlos Shipman.  Burial will be in the George Cemetery.

Viewing will be at Peoples Funeral Home of Whiteville Friday from 12:00 to 7:00 PM and at the headquarters Saturday following the service.  The Delta Sigma Theta Omega Omega Service will be Friday at 6:00 PM at the funeral home chapel.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her daughter, Londyn Wray Washington of the home; sister, Matishika Glenn of Durham; and brothers, Marcus Cromartie of Austell, GA and William Dewey Shipman, III of Manhattan, NY.

Friends may visit the family at 4582 Old Lumberton Road, Whiteville.
