FAIR BLUFF—Claude “T. J.” Vereen, Jr., 72, of 460 Academy Street, Fair Bluff, died Thursday, October 11, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
He was a deacon at Hickory Grove Missionary Baptist Church.
The funeral will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, October 16, at Hickory Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 5598 Hinsons Crossroads, Fair Bluff, by Rev. Anthony Jones. Burial will be in the Hickory Grove Cemetery.
Viewing will be at Peoples Funeral Home of Whiteville Monday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM and at the church Tuesday one hour prior to and following the service.
Surviving are his wife, Joan E. Vereen; daughter, Keysha Vereen-Frink of Chadbourn; sons, Jeffery Vereen and Reginal Vereen of Whiteville and Randolph Vereen of Lumberton; sisters, Frosty Davis, Mildred Vereen, and Diantha Eady of Fair Bluff, and Ann Bullock of Jonesboro, GA.
Friends may visit the family at 101 Emily Drive, Chadbourn.
