Dornell (Shipman) Register

WHITEVILLE—Dornell Shipman Register, 64, of 1543 Old Wilmington Road, Whiteville, died Saturday, May 4, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

The funeral will be 1:00 PM Friday, May 10, at the Brunswick-Waccamaw Baptist Headquarters, 600 Pinelog Road, Whiteville, by Rev. Franklin Graham.  Burial will be in the Welches Creek Cemetery.

Viewing will be at Peoples Funeral Home of Whiteville Thursday from 1:00 to 7:00 PM and at the headquarters Friday one hour prior to and following the service.  The wake will be 6:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home chapel at which time Eastern Star rites will be performed.

Surviving are her husband, James B. Register, Jr. of Whiteville; son, Terrance Register of Whiteville; sisters, Annie Bryant of Yonkers, NY, Ida Pearl Ham of Durham, and Estella Shipman of Washington, DC; brothers, Duvall Shipman and Hubert Shipman of Clarkton and Rudolph Shipman of Las Vegas, NV; and three grandchildren.

Friends may visit the family at 2141 Farmers Union Road, Clarkton, NC.
