WHITEVILLE—Evelyn Kathleen Smith, 53, of Whiteville, died Saturday, July 14, at Lower Cape Fear Hospice Angel House.
She was the daughter of George Edward Smith of Whiteville and the late Marie Miller McCain.
The funeral will be 12:00 PM Saturday, July 21, at Central Missionary Baptist Church, 443 West Virgil Street, Whiteville, by Rev. David Flowers. Burial will be in the Campground Cemetery.
Viewing will be at Peoples Funeral Home of Whiteville Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM and at the church Saturday following the service.
In addition to her father, she is survived by her daughter, Jeanette Kathleen Smith of Charlotte; sons, Wendell Mario Smith of Tabor City and Kavien Lamar Lamont Smith of Whiteville; sisters, Julia Wilkes, Mae Frances Samuel, and Carolyn Johnson of Charlotte, Carolyn Pearson Teachey of Leesville, LA, and Cassandra Smith of Fayetteville; brothers, Isiah Samuel of Evergreen, Joseph Samuel and George Smith of Whiteville, Jerry Lewis Samuel of Charlotte, Dennis Jerome Smith of Elizabeth City, and Willie Edward Smith of Timmonsville, SC.
Friends may visit the family at 88 Sandy Ridge Drive, Evergreen.
