WHITEVILLE—Leacy Shipman, Pierce, 79, of 423 Baldwin Circle, Whiteville, died Friday, February 22, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
She was one of the owners of Peoples Funeral Home of Whiteville.
The funeral will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, February 27, at the Brunswick-Waccamaw Missionary Baptist Association Headquarters, 600 Pinelog Road, Whiteville, by Dr. J. R. Leach. Burial will be in the Cherry Grove Cemetery.
Viewing will be at Peoples Funeral Home of Whiteville Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM and at the headquarters Wednesday one hour prior to the service. There will be no viewing after the service.
Surviving are her husband, Daniel Marvin Pierce; sons, Charles Pierce and Duane Pierce of Nashville, TN, and Garry Pierce of Greensboro; sister, Mecyclah Reid Bennett of Bronx, NY; brothers, Raymond Eugene Shipman of Indianapolis, IN and Gregory Reid of Bronx, NY.
