CHADBOURN—Malichia Ward, 67, of 360 Dessie Road, Chadbourn, died Monday, September 23, at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton.
He was a retired U.S. Army veteran.
The funeral will be 2:00 PM Saturday, September 28, at Zion Wall Free Will Baptist Church, 415 West Institute Street, Chadbourn, by Elder Wendell Gore, pastor. Burial, with full military honors, will be in the Belvue Cemetery.
Viewing will be at Peoples Funeral Home of Whiteville Friday from 6:00 to 7:00 PM and at the church Saturday one hour prior to and following the service.
Surviving are his wife, Ernestine W. Ward; daughters, Tonia Davidson of Fuquay Varina and Tamara McCollum of Whiteville; son, Malachia Ward, Jr. of Chadbourn; sisters, Ora Bell Faison of Boston, MA and Shirley Brooks of Washington, DC; and brothers, Willie Lee Ward of Chadbourn and Larry Ward of Whiteville.
