Octavia Huggins Obituary
DURHAM—Octavia Lenora Reaves Huggins, 51, formerly of Chadbourn, died Thursday, June 28, at Duke University Medical Center.
She was the daughter of Dollie Reaves Johnson of Chadbourn and the late Herbert Reaves.
The funeral will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, July 3, at Welches Creek Missionary Baptist Church, 1733 Millie-Christine Road, Whiteville, by Rev. Anthony Q. Jones. Burial will be in the Welches Creek Cemetery.
Viewing will be at Peoples Funeral Home of Whiteville Monday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. There will be no viewing at the church Tuesday.
In addition to her mother, surviving are her husband, Gregory Huggins; daughter, Lavashia Hall Younger of Durham; son, Tommy Hall, Jr. of Durham; sisters, Marilyn Day of Richmond, VA, Barbara Ennis of Spotsylvania, VA, and Angela Crawford of Chadbourn; and brothers, Larry Reaves of Greenbelt, MD and Anthony Q. Jones of Whiteville.
Friends may visit the family at 1935 Millie-Christine Road, Whiteville.
