CERRO GORDO—Raheem Amir Pounds, 29, of 62 Kristi Lane, Cerro Gordo, died Monday, July 16, at Columbus Regional Healthcare System.
He was the son of Nobleman Shabazz Bey-El, AKA Charles Pounds, of Albany, NY and the late Mary Alice Blue Savage.
The funeral will be 11:00 AM Sunday, July 22, at the Brunswick-Waccamaw Baptist Headquarters, 600 Pinelog Road, Whiteville. Burial will be in the Belvue Cemetery.
There will be no public viewing.
Surviving are his father, Nobleman Shabazz Bey-El of Albany, NY; brothers, Marcus Blue of Chadbourn, Charles Pounds, Jr. and Imar Shabazz Bey-El of Albany, NY, Majestic Pounds of Whiteville; and sisters, Rashaidh Hemmingway Pounds and Empress Shabazz Bey-El of Albany, NY.
Friends may visit the family at 2905 Chadbourn Highway, Whiteville.
