WHITEVILLE—Raunchy Wendell Shipman, 59, of 2271 Red Store Road, Whiteville, died Wednesday, June 13, at his residence.
He was the son of the late William Dewey Shipman, Sr. and Zenah Mae Clarida Shipman and was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force.
The funeral will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, June 19, at the Brunswick-Waccamaw Baptist Headquarters, 600 Pinelog Road, Whiteville, by Pastor Carlos Shipman. Burial, with military honors, will be in the George Cemetery.
Viewing will be at Peoples Funeral Home of Whiteville Monday from 12:00 to 7:00 PM and at the church Tuesday following the service. There will be a wake Monday from 6:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home chapel.
Surviving are his sisters, Annie M. Rhodes of Riegelwood, Brunella Shipman of Clarkton, Willa Dean Shipman Williams of Whiteville, and Callie Mae Shipman of Greensboro; and brother, Michael Shipman of Fayetteville.
Friends may visit the family at 2223 Red Store Road, Whiteville.
