WHITEVILLE—Robert Mitchell Hill, 48, of 184 Justin Avenue, Whiteville, died Sunday, July 1, at Columbus Regional Healthcare System.
He was a veteran of the US Army.
The funeral will be 3:00 PM Saturday, July 7, at Central Missionary Baptist Church, 443 West Virgil Street, Whiteville, by Pastor Tracey Troy of Victory in Jesus Ministries. Burial, with military honors, will be in the George Cemetery.
Viewing will be at Peoples Funeral Home of Whiteville Friday from 1:00 to 7:00 PM and at the church Saturday following the service.
Surviving are his mother, Stella Hill of the home; stepsons, Rodney Godwin of Whiteville and William Jay Godwin, Jr. of South Korea; sisters, Nancy Stephens of Wake Forest, Gwendolyn Owens of Hope Mills, Kathleen Hill of Chadbourn, Theresa Hill of Kannapolis, Janice Nichols and Elizabeth Hill of Clarkton.
Friends may visit the family at 219 Clark Street, Chadbourn.
