CLARKTON—Willie Lee Currie, 92, of 68 Ed Burney Road, Clarkton, died Thursday, February 14, at Columbus Regional Healthcare System.
The funeral will be 11:00 AM Thursday, February 21, at Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 426 Booker T. Washington School Road, Clarkton, by Rev. Anthony Henry. Burial will be in the Pleasant View Cemetery in St. Pauls.
Viewing will be at Peoples Funeral Home of Whiteville Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM and at the church Thursday from 10:30 to 11:00 AM, at which time the family will receive friends. There will be no viewing after the service.
Surviving are his daughters, Willa Clark of Henderson and Dorothy Simpson of Clarkton; sons, Willie R. Currie of Detroit, MI and Barry Currie of Jacksonville; sisters, Elouise McAllister of Springfield, VA and Grace Zuline Currie of St. Pauls; and brother, Lacy Currie of St. Pauls.
