RIEGELWOOD—Albert Young, 82, of 149 Shaw Road, Riegelwood, died Tuesday, November 6, at Novant Health Huntersville Medical Center.
He was the son of the late Howard M. Young and Lena Lacewell Young.
The funeral will be 2:00 PM Saturday, November 10, at First Baptist Missionary Baptist Church, 2600 General Howe Highway, Riegelwood, by Rev. Jeremy Buie, eulogist and Rev. Charles Jacobs, pastor. Burial will be in the Carvers Creek Cemetery.
Viewing will be at Peoples Funeral Home of Whiteville Friday from 5:00 to 7:00 PM and at the church Saturday one hour prior to the service. There will be no viewing after the service.
Surviving are his daughters, Angela G. Young-Ellington, Anita G. Mitchell, and Robin P. Young of Charlotte and Nicole M. Brunson of Huntersville; 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The American Cancer Society.
