CHESTER, PA—Anthony Shipman, 56, formerly of Whiteville, died Monday, March 27, 2023, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

The funeral will be 1:00 PM Friday, April 7, at Peoples Funeral Chapel.  Burial will be in the Welches Creek Cemetery.

Viewing will be at the funeral home Thursday from 4:00 to 6:00 PM and Friday one hour prior to the service.

Surviving are his mother, Retha Belle George of Whiteville; father, Hubert Shipman of Whiteville; sisters, Ann Marie Shipman of Hope Mills, NC and Debra Ann Shipman of Murrells Inlet, SC; brothers, Morris Shipman of Murrells Inlet, SC, Kenny Shipman of Whiteville, Hubert Lee Shipman of Washington, DC, and Justin Shipman of Fayetteville, NC.
