Surviving are his parents, Ashlee Anderson of Whiteville and Timothy Alston of Chapel Hill, NC; maternal grandparents, Andy and Ophelia Anderson of Whiteville; paternal grandparents, Roslyn and Lonnie Alston, Jr. of Chapel Hill, NC.
