WHITEVILLE, NC—Barbara Charlene McCallister, 64, of 204 East Columbus Street, Whiteville, NC, died Thursday, February 4, 2021, at Columbus Regional Healthcare System.
She was a veteran of the U. S. Navy.
A graveside service, with military honors, will be 2:00 PM Friday, February 12, at Cherry Grove Cemetery, 660 Vinson Boulevard, Whiteville, NC, by Rev. James Smith, eulogist and Pastor John Langley of Mill Branch Missionary Baptist Church as officiant.
Walk-thru viewing will be Thursday from 5:00 to 6:00 PM at Peoples Funeral Chapel in Whiteville.
Surviving are her daughters, JaiQuella McCallister of Greenville, NC and Maesha McCallister of Charlotte, NC; mother, Rose Nell McCallister of Whiteville, NC; sister, Janice Nelson of New Jersey; brothers, Terry Nelson of New Jersey and Everett Cato (Patricia) of Whiteville, NC; one grandson, Isaiah Sutton of Greenville, NC; and her companion, Driss Elamraoui.
