BALTIMORE, MD—Bernis Stanley, 78, formerly of Nakina, NC, died Saturday, September 9, 2023, at Autumn Lake Healthcare at Arlington West in Baltimore, MD.
The funeral will be 1:00 PM Saturday, September 23, at Zion Plain Missionary Baptist Church, 11040 Seven Creeks Highway, Nakina, NC, by Rev. James L. Smith. Burial will be in the George Washington Stanley Cemetery.
Viewing will be at Peoples Funeral Chapel Friday from 4:00 to 6:00 PM and at the church Saturday following the service.
Surviving are his wife, Mattie Ford Stanley; sons, Bernis Lamont Stanley, Jr. of the home, Eric Artis of Raleigh, NC, and Shelton Stanley of Florida; sister,
Addie Brown of Maryland.
