CONCORD—Bessie Mae Johnson Fair, 85, formerly of the Cedar Grove Community, Whiteville, died Saturday, May 25, at Curis at Concord Rehabilitation Center.
The funeral will be 11:00 AM Saturday, June 1, at Central Missionary Baptist Church, 443 West Virgil Street, Whiteville, by Rev. Judy V. Johnson. Cremation will follow.
Viewing will be at Peoples Funeral Home of Whiteville Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. There will be no viewing Saturday.
Surviving are her daughter, Flossie Fair-Boyd of Concord; and sisters, Aggielean Johnson of Philadelphia, PA and Teretha Ward of Whiteville.
Friends may visit the family at 446 McMillian Road, Whiteville.
Because of her love for flowers, the family is requesting that all floral tributes be in the form of potted plants/flowers.
