MONTCLAIR, NJ—Bessie Lee Johnson Sowell, 83, formerly of Whiteville, died Monday, August 1, 2022, in Montclair, NJ.
The funeral will be 11:00 AM Saturday, August 13, at Peoples Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in the Campground Cemetery.
Viewing will be at the funeral home Saturday following the service.
Surviving are her former husband, Francis Sowell; children, James Williams and Gwendolyn Fairley; sisters, Hunter, Kathleen Rouse, and Jackolean Lashley; brother, Roscoe Johnson.
