WHITEVILLE—Beverlyn Ethell Smith, 69, of Whiteville, died Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at UNC Health Southeastern Regional Medical Center.
The funeral will be 1:00 PM Saturday, February 7, at Minter’s Chapel First Born Church, 1270 Old Boardman Road, Evergreen, NC, by Elder Dennis Hempstead. Burial will be in the Smith-McCrae Family Cemetery.
Viewing will be at the church Saturday 30 minutes prior to and following the service.
Surviving are her daughter, Amanda Lowery of Orrum, NC; son, Clinton Smith of Lumberton, NC; stepchildren, Annie Kelly of Georgia and Lorenzo Brown of Chadbourn, NC; sisters, Geneva Michelle Smith Utley and Tanzie Gerald Smith of Lumberton, NC; brothers, Samuel Smith of Lumberton, NC and Rodney McDuffie of Fairmont, NC.
