Billy Ray Stevens

WHITEVILLE—Billy Ray Stevens, 83, of Whiteville, died Thursday, December 18, 2025, at Columbus Regional Healthcare System. 

The funeral will be 11:00 AM Saturday, December 27, at New Mount Zion Baptist Church, 1980 Millpond Road, Whiteville, NC, by Pastor Anthony Rowell.  Burial will be in the Cherry Grove Cemetery.

Viewing will be at Peoples Funeral Chapel Friday from 4:00 to 6:00 PM and at the church Saturday 30 minutes prior to the service.

Surviving are his wife, Carrie Cokley Stevens; son, Billy Ray Corleg of Fayetteville, NC; daughters, Kara Janene , Constance Evette Hines, and Tawana Sheneek Stevens of New York; brothers, Hubert Stevens of Elizabethtown, NC, Carson Stevens of Whiteville, and John Stevens of Bladenboro, NC.
