BLADENBORO, NC—Carnie Lewis Gillespie, 83, of Bladenboro, NC, died Friday, October 6, 2023, at Grand Strand Medical Center in Myrtle Beach, SC.

The funeral will be 1:00 PM Saturday, October 14, at Peoples Funeral Chapel.  Burial will be in the Lewis Cemetery.

Viewing will be at the funeral home Saturday one hour prior to the service, at which time the family will receive friends.

Surviving are her daughters, Lutia Spivey, Adrianne Brockington, and Dorothy Mansfield of Bladenboro, NC, Loretta G. Kimbrough of High Point, NC, and Shenique Gillespie of Linden, NC; son, Franklin D. Gillespie, Jr. of High Point, NC; stepdaughter, Judy Brown of Bladenboro, NC; sisters, Vernette Lewis of Ohio and Johnia Faye Fields of Greensboro, NC; brother, Elroy Lewis of Chapel Hill, NC.
