LAUREL, MD—Carolyn Harvetta Hayes, 80, formerly of Chadbourn, NC, died Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at White Oak Medical Center in Silver Spring, MD.
The funeral will be 11:00 AM Saturday, July 25, at Mount Olive Baptist Church, 5548 Silver Spoon Road, Whiteville, NC. Burial will be in the Belvue Cemetery.
Viewing will be at Peoples Funeral Chapel Friday from 4:00 to 6:00 PM and at the church Saturday 30 minutes prior to and following the service.
She is survived by a sister, Alice Scipio of Silver Spring, MD.
