LUMBERTON—Dr. Carrie Redahlia Best Murphy, 66, formerly of the Mount Olive Community, Whiteville, died Monday, February 10, at Duke University Hospital.
The funeral will be 11:00 AM Saturday, February 15, at Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church, 5548 Silver Spoon Road, Whiteville, by Pastor Timothy A. Lance. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Viewing will be at Peoples Funeral Home of Whiteville Friday from 3:00 to 6:00 PM and at the church Saturday one hour prior to the service. There will be no viewing after the service.
Surviving are her husband, Clifton O. Murphy; son, Clifton O. Murphy, Jr. of Forestville, MD; stepdaughter, Sharonda Murphy of Upper Marlboro, MD; sister, Claudette McKenzie of Whiteville; brothers, Lester Best of Hyattsville, MD, Ted Best and James Best of Washington, DC; and one grandson.
Friends may visit the family at 4901 Willow Oak Drive in Lumberton.
