TAR HEEL, NC—Charles Burgwin Solomon, 66, of 18579 NC Highway 87 West, Tar Heel, NC, died Friday, January 10, 2025, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

The funeral will be 1:00 PM Saturday, January 18, at Union Baptist Church, 2290 Old Northeast Road, Lake Waccamaw, NC, by Rev. William Robinson.  Burial will be in the Mitchell Field Cemetery.

Viewing will be at Peoples Funeral Chapel Friday from 4:00 to 6:00 PM and at the church Saturday 30 minutes prior to the service.

Surviving are his companion, Debra Simmons of the home; daughter, Arabia Simmons of Whiteville; sister, Karen Long of Chapel Hill, NC; and brother, Albert Solomon of Whiteville.
