RIEGELWOOD, NC—Clara Freeman Brown, 69, of Riegelwood, NC, died Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at Columbus Regional Healthcare System.

The funeral will be 12:00 Noon Monday, June 29, at Mount Pleasant AME Zion Church, 15956 Old Lake Road, Riegelwood, NC.  Burial will be in the Mount Pleasant Church Cemetery.

Viewing will be at the church Monday 30 minutes prior to and following the service.

Surviving are her husband, William Oree Brown; son, Trent Freeman of San Antonio, TX; stepdaughter, Tina Brown of Wilmington, NC; sisters, Rutha Phillips of Fayetteville, NC, Judy Freeman and Joyce Bryant of Bolton, NC
