Clara Mae (Davis) Murry

OXON HILL, MD—Clara Mae Murry, 84, formerly of Whiteville, died Monday, May 4, at Fort Washington Hospital in Fort Washington, MD.

She was the daughter of the late Charlie Davis and Polly A. Davis and is one of eight children--Pauline Davis, Willie Davis, Raymond Davis, Allean Davis, Donnie Smith, aAnnie Low, and Rennie Davis.  She was married to Hubert Murry.  This union was blessed with two children.  Her husband and daughter, Catherline Murry, preceded her in death.

A proud graduate of Mount Olive High School, she worked as a homemaker, and enjoyed working in the yard and playing with her grandchildren.

A graveside service, for immediate family only, will be 2:00 PM Thursday, May 14, at Belvue Cemetery, 1055 Clarendon-Chadbourn Road in Chadbourn, by Elder Shawn Maynor.

Walk-through viewing will be at Peoples Funeral Chapel in Whiteville Thursday from 12:30 to 1:30 PM.

Surviving are her son, Preston Murry (Patsy) of Brown Summit; grandchildren, April Walls, Tamica Murry, and Clamara Thomas of Seat Pleasant, MD, Regina Murry of Lithonia, GA, Adrian Devon Pridgen of South Carolina, Patrick Froe of Fort Washington, MD and Lisa Froe of Greensboro; five great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
