NAKINA—Decatur Ward Morse, 85, of 230 Roland Smith Lane, Nakina, died Tuesday, June 2, at his residence.
He was retired from the U.S. Army.
The funeral will be 1:30 PM Sunday, June 7, at the Peoples Funeral Chapel in Whiteville, with viewing from 1:30 to 2:00 PM. Graveside services will be 3:00 PM Monday, June 8, at Pine Forest Memorial Gardens, 770 Stadium Drive, Wake Forest, NC.
Surviving are his wife, Estherlene Smith Morse; daughter, Denise L. Marshall (Warren) of Raleigh; son, Decatur “Ward” Morse, Jr. (Laura) of Atlanta, GA.
