CHADBOURN—Dennis Jerome Corness Smith, Jr., 29, of 31 Park L. Drive, Chadbourn, NC, died Saturday, December 29, at his residence.

The funeral will be 2:00 PM Sunday, January 6, at Saint Stephens Holiness Church, Highway 904, Tabor City, NC.  Burial will be in the Campground Cemetery in Whiteville.

Viewing will be at Peoples Funeral Home of Whiteville Saturday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM and at the church Sunday following the service.  There will be a wake Saturday from 6:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home chapel.

Surviving are his wife, Shyniece Bell Smith; son, Ahmari Jerome Smith of the home; daughter, Paris Bell Phillips of the home; mother and stepfather, Diane and Eric Simpson of Lumberton; father, Dennis Smith of Elizabeth City; sister, Artesa McLean of Whiteville; brothers, Joshua Smith and Anthony McLean of Whiteville and Timothy Smith of Hallsboro; paternal grandparents, George and Cassandra Smith of Whiteville; paternal great-grandmother, Florine Miller of Florence, SC.
