Donald Leroy Grimes

WHITEVILLE—Donald Leroy Grimes, 56, of 114 Maultsby Drive, Whiteville, died Tuesday, February 11, at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill.

The funeral will be 1:00 PM Monday, February 17, at Central Missionary Baptist Church, 443 West Virgil Street, Whiteville, by Pastor David Flowers.  Burial will be in the Campground Cemetery.

Viewing will be at Peoples Funeral Home of Whiteville Sunday from 3:00 to 6:00 PM and at the church Monday one hour prior to the service.  There will be no viewing after the service.  The family will receive friends Sunday from 5:00 to 6:00 PM at the funeral home chapel.

Surviving are his wife, Cynthia Lee Grimes; stepson, Brandon Lee of Byron, GA; mother, Carolyn Grimes Council of Tar Heel; father, Willie Eugene Council of White Oak; sisters, Carolyn Council and Geraldine Council of Tar Heel; brothers, Tim Council of Tar Heel, Tyrone Council and David Grimes of Elizabethtown.
