WHITEVILLE—Doreene Ann Bennett Lawrence, 75, of 709 Pinewood Drive, Whiteville, died Friday, October 18, at her residence.
She was the daughter of the late Henry T. Bennett and adopted daughter of the late Lillie Stanley Bennett.
A memorial service will be 11:00 AM Saturday, October 26, at Central Missionary Baptist Church, 443 West Virgil Street, Whiteville, by Rev. David Flowers.
The family will receive friends at the church Saturday from 10:30 to 11:00 AM.
Surviving are her husband, James Edward “Billy Boy” Lawrence, Jr.; son, James Edward “ Tubby” Lawrence, III (Deidre) of Charlotte; three grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
