WHITEVILLE, NC—Evangelist Doretha Howard Brooks, 87, of 621 Nolan Avenue, Whiteville, NC, died Monday, November 22, 2021, at her residence.
The funeral will be 1:00 PM Saturday, November 27, at Peoples Funeral Chapel in Whiteville by Pastor Acie Robinson of Second Saint Paul Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Hallsboro Memorial Park.
Viewing will be at the funeral home Friday from 4:00 to 6:00 PM.
Surviving are her children, Charles Howard (Lois) of Whiteville, NC, Rose Boone (James) of Lumberton, NC, Brenda Williams (Mark) of Hallsboro, NC, Mac Arthur Howard (Georgia) of Whiteville, NC, Willie Howard (Helen) of Smithville, TX, Shirleen Swindell of Whiteville, NC, Bobby Oates (Michelle) of Newark, DE, James Oates (Charlene) of New Castle, DE, Tammy Myers of Lumberton, NC, and Ronald Brooks (Nicole) of Columbia, SC; and sister, Effie Dale Langley of Roselle, NJ
