WHITEVILLE—Elizabeth Ann Fleming Vereen, 66, of 1944 White Hall Road, Whiteville, died Thursday, November 24, 2022, at Columbus Regional Healthcare System.

The funeral will be 1:00 PM Friday, December 2, at Baldwin Branch Missionary Baptist Church, 4047 NC Highway 242, Elizabethtown.  Burial will be in the Graham Chapel Cemetery in Riegelwood, NC.

Viewing will be at Peoples Funeral Chapel Thursday from 4:00 to 6:00 PM and at the church Friday following the service.

Surviving are her husband, George Vereen; daughter, Taccara Vereen of the home; sons, Ernest James Fleming of Wilmington, NC; adopted son, Ernest Commander of Durham, NC; brothers, Alvin Fleming of Michigan, Charlie Fleming of Wilmington, NC, and James Purdie McMillian of Durham, NC.
