BOLTON, NC—Ernest Edward Joy, Jr., 78, of Bolton, NC, died Saturday, February 17, 2024, at home.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
The funeral will be 12:00 PM Thursday, February 22, at Walter’s Chapel AME Zion Church, 15111 Sam Potts Highway, Bolton, NC, by Rev. Ryan Godfrey. Burial, with military honors, will be in the Restwell Cemetery #1.
Viewing will be at Peoples Funeral Chapel Wednesday from 4:00 to 6:00 PM and at the church Thursday 30 minutes prior to and following the service.
Surviving are his wife, Gwendolyn F. Joy; sons, Ernest Joy, III and Eric Joy of Charlotte, NC.
