WHITEVILLE—Esther Gerone Smith Gore, 71, of Whiteville, died Sunday, March 24, 2024, at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro, NC.

The funeral will be 1:00 PM Saturday, March 30, at Spring Hill Baptist Church, 2871 Chadbourn Highway, Whiteville, NC, by Rev. David Flowers.  Burial will be in the Campground Cemetery.

Viewing will be at Peoples Funeral Home Friday from 4:00 to 6:00 PM and at the church Saturday one hour prior to the service.

Surviving are her daughter, Gail Gore-Lewis of Greensboro, NC; sister, Deloris Robinson of Whiteville; brothers, Edgar Smith, Fredrick Smith, and George Smith of Whiteville.
