Floyd Benjamin

LAGUNA NIGUEL, CA—Floyd Benjamin, 80, died Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at home in Laguna Niguel, CA.

He was the husband of Floretta George Benjamin, formerly of Whiteville.

The funeral will be 2:00 PM Sunday, July 2, at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, 239 West Columbus Street, Whiteville, NC, by Pastor Algernon McKenzie.  Burial will be in the Mitchell Field Cemetery in Clarkton.

Viewing will be at Peoples Funeral Chapel Saturday from 4:00 to 6:00 PM and at the church Sunday one hour prior to the service.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Floyd Benjamin, Jr. of California; sisters, Lisa Henry of Fayetteville, NC, Rudine Daisey of Philadelphia, PA, and Dorothea Gordon of Sumter, SC; brother, Lionel Gash of Philadelphia, PA.
