BLADENBORO, NC—Franklin D. Gillespie, 83, of 198 Round Branch Road, Bladenboro, NC, died Tuesday, January 18, 2022, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

The funeral will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, January 26, at Peoples Funeral Chapel.  Burial will be in the Lewis Cemetery.

Viewing will be at the funeral home Wednesday one hour prior to the service.

Surviving are his wife, Carnie Lewis Gillespie; children, Lutia Spivey and Adrianne Brockington of Bladenboro, NC, Loretta Kimbrough of High Point, NC, Dorothy Mansfield of Bladenboro, NC, Franklin D. Gillespie, Jr. of High Point, NC, Shenique Gillespie of Linden, NC, and Judy Brown of Bladenboro, NC; and sister, Edith Uneil Ward of Maryland.
