EVERGREEN, NC—Gene Archie Bellamy, 72, of Evergreen, NC, died Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at Columbus Regional Healthcare System.
He was a veteran of the U. S. Army.
The funeral will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, March 31, at Mount Tabor Baptist Church, 324 Cherry Grove Road, Cerro Gordo, NC. Burial will be in the Mount Tabor Memorial Gardens.
Viewing will be at Peoples Funeral Chapel Monday from 4:00 to 6:00 PM and at the church Tuesday 30 minutes prior to and following the service.
Surviving are his wife, Barbara McNeil Bellamy; sons, Jonté Bellamy, Darrain Bellamy, Jemetric Bellamy, and Xavier Cromartie of Chadbourn, NC, Michael Bellamy of Colorado, and Carlton Bellamy of Fair Bluff, NC; sisters, Nancy Bellamy, Lena Bellamy, Effie Flowers, and Betty Bellamy of Chadbourn, NC and Gerri Smith of New Jersey; brothers, Willie Bellamy of Chadbourn, NC and Ernest Bellamy of Whiteville.
