WHITEVILLE—George Edward Smith, 86, of 286 Spring Hill Drive, Whiteville, died Saturday, March 12, 2022, at his home.
The funeral will be 2:00 PM Thursday, March 17, at Peoples Funeral Chapel in Whiteville by Rev. Dewey Farmer, Jr. Burial will be in the Campground Cemetery.
Viewing will be at the funeral home Thursday one hour prior to the service.
Surviving are his wife, Sandra Johnson Smith; children, Carolyn Williams of Louisiana, Willie Edward Smith of South Carolina, George Smith, Jr. of Whiteville, Dennis Smith of Elizabeth City, NC, and Cassandra Smith of Fayetteville, NC; stepchildren, Michael Johnson of Colorado and Orlando Johnson of Fayetteville, NC.
