CLARKTON, NC—Harold Leon Ford, 90, of 53 Booker T. Washington Road, Clarkton, NC, died Monday, July 26, 2021, at Lower Cape Fear LifeCare in Whiteville.
He was a retired educator and coach in Bladen County Schools and a U.S. Army veteran.
The funeral will be 12:00 PM Saturday, July 31, at Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 426 Booker T. Washington Road, Clarkton, NC, by Pastor Anthony Henry. Burial, with military honors, will be in the Saint Luke Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Laurinburg, NC.
Viewing will be at Peoples Funeral Home of Whiteville Friday from 5:00 to 6:00 PM and at the church Saturday one hour prior to the service.
Surviving are his son, Sherman Ford (Tracey) of Greensboro, NC; daughter, Sheila Duncan (Roger) of Bowling Green, KY; sisters, Ella Williams of Clayton, NC and Josephine Harrington of Laurinburg, NC; brothers, George White of Plainfield, NJ and Nathaniel White of Fayetteville, NC; six grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, and cousin/sister, Katherine Allen of Laurinburg, NC.
