NAKINA—Herbert McKeel Stanley, 94, of 392 Ramsey Ford Road, Nakina, died Friday, May 29, at the North Carolina State Veterans Home in Fayetteville.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
A graveside service will be 1:00 PM Thursday, June 4, at George Washington Stanley Cemetery, 779 Ramsey Ford Road, Nakina, by Pastor N. Darnell Smith of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in Albuquerque, NM.
Walk-through viewing will be at Peoples Funeral Chapel in Whiteville Thursday from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
Surviving are his daughters, Herlethia Keels of Albuquerque, NM and Verendia Foster of Cameron; sons, Herbert M. Stanley, Jr. of Albuquerque, NM, Ritchie Stanley of Sarasota, FL, and Rogrick Stanley of Wilmington.
