RIEGELWOOD—James Savannah Bowen, 92, of 3264 General Howe Highway, Riegelwood, died Monday, January 27, at Lower Cape Fear Hospice Care Center in Wilmington.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
The funeral will be 2:00 PM Saturday, February 1, at Mount Pleasant AME Zion Church, 15956 Old Lake Road, Riegelwood, by Pastor T. Kendall. Burial, with military honors, will be in the church cemetery.
Viewing will be at Mount Pleasant Church Friday from 4:00 to 6:00 PM and Saturday one hour prior to and following the service.
Surviving are his daughters, Viola Waddell Brown of Lithonia, GA, Diane Young, Alma Bowen, and Breoná Bowen of Riegelwood; sister, Linda Louise Brown of Riegelwood.
