Obituary
WHITEVILLE—Joanne Threadgill Garcia, 69, of Whiteville, died Monday, May 22, 2023, at Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
The funeral will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, May 30, at Cherry Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 409 Bitmore Road, Whiteville, NC, by Rev. James L. Smith, eulogist and Pastor Delores Threadgill. Burial will be in the Faulk Cemetery in Bladenboro, NC.
Viewing will be at Peoples Funeral Chapel Monday from 4:00 to 6:00 PM and at the church Tuesday following the service.
Surviving are her daughters, Regina Garcia-Rogers and Stacy Garcia of Whiteville, and Kimberly Garcia-Clark of Charlotte, NC; sisters, Joyce Davis of Bladenboro, NC, Delores Threadgill and Dawn Garrett of Whiteville; brothers, Parnellas Alford of Bladenboro, NC, George Threadgill of Durham, NC, Henry Threadgill of Greenville, SC, and Chris Threadgill of Whiteville.
Friends may visit the family at the home of Regina and Bert Rogers.
