CLARKTON, NC—Bishop Joe Thomas Lowery, 58, of 91 Pridgen Acres Drive, Clarkton, NC, died Sunday, January 30, 2022, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
The funeral will be 2:00 PM Saturday, February 5, on the lawn of Peoples Funeral Home, by Bishop C. C. Dixon. Burial will be in the Campground Cemetery.
Viewing will be at the funeral home Friday from 4:00 to 6:00 PM and Saturday following the service.
Surviving are his wife, Mable Harris Lowery; daughters, Courtney Lowery of Bridgeport, CT, Monica Canady of Whiteville, Sherika Canady of Charlotte, NC, and Jacqueline Cooper of Covington, GA; sons, Terence Lowery of Bridgeport, CT and Frederick Canady of Elizabeth City, NC; mother, Emma Holland Lowery of Bridgeport, CT; sisters, Dr. Teresa Lowery-Bailey of Eagleville, PA and Mae Myers Lowery of Bridgeport, CT; and brother, Eugene Lowery of Bridgeport, CT.
