BOLTON, NC—John Anthony Freeman, 92, of 142 Glendale Road, Bolton, NC, died Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at home.

The funeral will be 11:00 AM Saturday, May 10, at The New Townsend Temple Ministries, 273 Smith Lane, Bolton, NC.  Burial will be in the Restwell Cemetery #1.

Viewing will be Friday from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at Lee’s Chapel AME Zion Church, 42 Blacksmith Road, Bolton, NC and at the church Saturday, 30 minutes prior to and following the service.

Surviving are his children, Beverly McDowell of Bolton, NC, Melba Freeman of Bridgeport, CT, Pamela Robinson of Colorado Springs, CO, Elouise Floyd of Charlotte, NC, Jonathan Freeman and James Russell Freeman of Bolton, NC, Nastedman Freeman of Riegelwood, NC, Toney Freeman of Whiteville, NC, Garrette Freeman of Greensboro, NC, Addie Freeman of Elizabethtown, NC, Lisa Moore of Lake Waccamaw, NC, Gregory Spaulding of Wilmington, NC, Kim Pyatt of Covington, GA, Alonzo Pyatt of Brooklyn, NY, and Lynell Pyatt of Bolton, NC.
