CLAYTON, NC—Johnricus Gerald Moore, 44, formerly of Clarkton, NC, died Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at Columbus Regional Healthcare System.
The funeral will be 11:00 AM Friday, June 19, at Brunswick-Waccamaw Baptist Headquarters, 600 Pinelog Road, Whiteville, NC. Burial will be in the Mitchell Field Cemetery.
Visitation will be at Peoples Funeral Chapel Thursday from 4:00 to 6:00 PM.
Surviving are his wife, Shayla Pierce Moore; daughters, Aniyah Moore of Bolton, NC and Brianna Moore of the home; sons, Eric Pierce of Charlotte, NC and Johnricus Moore, Jr. of the home; mother, Saundra Moore of Clarkton, NC; father, Gerald Thomas of Elizabethtown, NC; brothers, Darian Moore of Alabama, Gerald Thomas, Jr., Tremaine Thomas, and Brandon Thomas of Fayetteville, NC, Damien Thomas of Kentucky, and Shawn Thomas of Raleigh, NC.
