WHITEVILLE—Kenneth Burgwin “Rooster” Spaulding, 89, of 4250 Tom Sessions Road, Whiteville, NC, died Thursday, August 28, 2025, at Shoreland Health Care & Rehabilitation Center.

The funeral will be 2:00 PM Sunday, August 31, at Peoples Funeral Chapel by Rev. Gregory Spaulding.  Burial will be in the Mitchell Field Cemetery.

Viewing and Visitation will be at the funeral home Sunday 30 minutes prior to the service.

Surviving are his wife, Shirley M. Spaulding; sons, Franklin B. Spaulding and Kenneth S. Spaulding of Wilmington, NC; daughter, Sheila D. Spaulding of Whiteville; sister, Jackie Moore of Clarkton, NC.
