BROOKLYN, NY—Linwood Peter McCoy, 87, formerly of Chadbourn, NC, died Monday, July 6, 2026, at home in Brooklyn, NY.
The funeral will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, July 22, at Peoples Funeral Chapel by Rev. Alban S. Burney. Burial will be in the Belvue Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the funeral home Wednesday one hour prior to the service.
Surviving are his daughter, Karen Saunders of Baltimore, MD; sister, Yvonne Degroot; brothers, Ervin Murfree and Adam Murfree; stepdaughter, Yolanda Harris of Brooklyn, NY.
