WHITEVILLE—Louvenia Odessa Lennon Best, 81, of Whiteville, died Saturday, September 14, 2024, at Bayonne Medical Center in Bayonne, NJ.

The funeral will be 12:00 PM Saturday, September 21, at Mount Olive Baptist Church, 5548 Silver Spoon Road, Whiteville, NC, by Pastor Timothy Lance.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be at Peoples Funeral Chapel Friday from 4:00 to 6:00 PM.

Surviving are her children, Angela Best and James Best of Bayonne, NJ, Thomas Best, Jr. and Debra Best of Jersey City, NJ; sisters, Helena Lennon and Beatrice Williams of Jersey City, NJ, and Minnie Dixon of Whiteville; brothers, Sterling Lennon of Whiteville and Edward Lennon of Durham, NC.
