GREENSBORO, NC—Mary Kate Powell Allen, 89, formerly of Hallsboro, NC, died Sunday, December 22, 2024, at Wesley Long Community Hospital.

The funeral will be 11:00 AM Saturday, December 28, , at Second Saint Paul Baptist Church, 1900 Cherry Town Road, Hallsboro, NC, by Pastor Acie Robinson, Jr.  Burial will be in the Hallsboro Memorial Park.

Visitation with the family will be at the church Saturday one hour prior to the service.

She is survived by her son, Tary Mitchell of Vermont.
