COUNCIL, NC—Michael Eugene Cardwell, 73, of Council, NC, died Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at Lower Cape Fear LifeCare in Whiteville.

The funeral will be 10:00 AM Monday, December 4, at Peoples Funeral Chapel by Rev. David Flowers.  Burial, with military honors, will be in the Florence National Cemetery.

Viewing will be at the funeral home Monday one hour prior to the service.

Surviving are his daughter, Samantha Carmichael of Georgia; brother, Larry Cardwell; sister, Lois Jeannie Graham of Virginia; and his companion, Saundra Terry of the home.
